Need Solution Regarding Fire Regulations And Mobility Scooter Charging

Hi everyone, as i mentioned yesterday i will be making questions public in the hope that people can help to answer each others questions and here is the first of them.

Question:

An individual who’s mother is living in warden assisted flats with a shared entrance is allowed to park her mobility scooter in the entrance area but is not allowed to use the charger because of fire regulations and would like to know if there is a solution to this?

If you are able to offer any suggestions regarding this, please comment below.

Sharing Mobility Related Questions And Answers

Quite often i receive questions through the contact form at the site here related to problems with mobility aids and also questions about where particular items might be purchased.

While i do my best to answer any of those questions that i can, i am sometimes unable to provide enough information regarding the persons mobility aid problem.

So i have decided that when i receive a question through the contact form that i will post that question making it public in a short and individual post, i will leave out names and anything that i feel doesn’t need to be included and by making the question public here i hope that it will increase the chances of the questions being answered.

Whether its why something isn’t working on a mobility scooter for example, or where you can get a specific spare part or anything else, as long as its mobility/disability related then theres a good chance that visitors to this site will be able to help each other out with helpful information.

I am adding a new category for the questions and answers posts to be listed in.

Mobility And Your General Fitness

When people hear the words mobility or disability mentioned they might instantly think of an individual with health problems, possibly less of an expectation that the disabled person might be of general good health and fitness.

After all, there can be many reasons why someone needs to use a walking aid or a wheelchair or a mobility scooter or need extra support around their home.

You dont have to be without mobility needs to be referred to or to refer to yourself as generally fit.

Some people with mobility needs will actually go out of their way to increase the amount of physical activities that they do and often have a keen interest in improving their fitness and looking after their own health.

This isn’t always possible, even for the most willing and determined of people but even if you have a disability that creates more restriction than others experience  and challenges you regularly with the added issue of controlling pain, you possibly find that you are still aware of the importance of looking after your general health and fitness.

If anything, the fact that you have mobility needs can mean that you put more time, effort and thought into your own well-being as you understand the importance of doing so and also the benefits gained from your own effort.

Remind yourself daily of the importance of  looking after your overall general fitness.
