Enough Information Provided With Purchased Mobility Aids?

Naturally some mobility aids that you purchase will need very little or no information packaged with them containing instructions and guidance on using the product and safety tips but some do require information to be supplied with theĀ  mobility product to ensure that you understand how to use it and can get the most from what you have bought.

Do you personally feel that the information provided is enough or do you feel that they should include more?

Whether its a mobility scooter, a wheelchair or a much smaller item, have you felt comfortable with any leaflet or booklet of information that has come packaged with your purchase?

Sometimes people are still left with questions, even after they have read the provided information, sometimes very basic questions that they want answers to.

Of the mobility aids that you have bought, have you been content enough with all of the supplied documentation?

Why Some People Need To Use A Walking Frame

Although most people will understand that a walking frame is necessary for some people when moving around while on their feet because they have difficulties while doing this, it seems that some people may not know why individuals may specifically need to use one.

I see quite a few searches of people asking why people use walking/zimmer frames, and similar searches.

A user of a walking frame might still have good use of their legs but may have stability problems and could be prone to balance problens and falls, by using a frame they have something that provides stability and can greatly reduce the feeling for the person that they might lose their balance and fall.

Theres also the fact that should the user need to stop to rest, that they have something to hold onto and this is convenient for the user, theres also hardly any weight to most walking frames so they dont require you to exert yourself in order to use the walking frame, which would go against part of the need and reason to use one.

For some people, they may have a weakness in their legs or problems with their feet or even with their hips but can benefit from walking and the regular exercise and movement can be beneficial for some people, depending on their disability, their own personal choices and also what has been recommended to them.

Apart from aiding the person while they walk outdoors, a walking frame is perfectly suitable for indoor use, in someomes home, within a care home and within shops and other indoor areas.

It depends on the individual mobility needs of each person but generally a walking frame offers support for the user in a basic way, and they are generally kept simple and lightweight so that they dont require any effort that would potentially add to the persons mobility needs.

Your Preferred Mobility Scooter Brand?

With there being a few brands to choose from within the mobility aid market when shopping for a mobility scooter, you might have used a few of them in your time and are possibly more happy with some compared to others that you have used.

There may be something that you like about a particular make and model of the mobility scooter that you currently own or have owned in the past or may have specific requirements that you find are met by a particular brand compared to the others available.

Is there a brand that you like so much that you simply would always purchase that make of mobility scooter and prefer to stick with the one that you know?

Or maybe you are experimental and will give a different one a try when it comes to making a new purchase.

Feel free to share your opinions and thoughts on this.
